Planning a Party, December 1940

Sometimes it’s nice to take a peek at life before the United States was officially at war. This article from the December 1940 issue of Glamour gives us recipes for planning a terrific party.

I wasn’t sure of the best way to share this, so I decided to try a couple of different ways so you could see the entire “recipe” for each type of party. I like that the article includes prices of some items and where to find them.

I haven’t used Glamour often in the past, but I’m trying to branch out a bit and use different kinds of magazines to look at life in the early 1940s. Enjoy!
