These quick and easy snacks are from the 1941 edition of Honor Among Cooks by Mary Spahr. The smiley face symbol designated recipes that children would especially love or could easily help make. My 3- and 7-year-olds were excited to help today.
Results
These were deliciously crunchy and chocolatey. They also melted really quickly, especially in little hands.
A couple things to note: The amount of chocolate might need to be adjusted to coat all of the ingredients. The recipe also didn’t make much. The amount in the dish below was all we made. This might be a recipe to double or even triple. They are so good that they won’t last long.
