I love this article about dressing tables. I’ve been enjoying thumbing through home decorating magazines from the first half of the 1940s. It’s almost like time travel. You get a peek into what daily life was like for the magazine’s readers. I can picture a woman sitting at her kitchen table, leafing through the pages, and thinking— How shall I decorate my dressing table?

History in the Kitchen 
I love dressing tables! I remember my mum’s dressing table and how pretty and organized it was. It was her place, for herself. How quickly we forget how important it is to have that place.
