First Monday Menu: April Roast Beef Dinner

This menu comes from Margaret Hewett’s Party Menus and Recipes. Published in 1939, it contains a variety of menus for everything from appetizer spreads to Sunday luncheons to buffet suppers. This dinner menu would be a perfect spring meal.

Melon Ring Salad

I’m not sure that I would enjoy the French dressing on this fruit salad, but it’s an interesting recipe and very much something you would find in this time period.
