Potato Salad, 1944

This potato salad recipe was part of the Better Homes and Gardens August menu feature that I posted earlier this month.

Results

I like potato salad. I like it a lot. I think it’s an overlooked dish that isn’t just for picnics. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a potato salad with French dressing, though. It won’t be the last time either! This was delicious! The dressing really adds a nice flavor to the dish and a nice color to your table. If you make this, note that the ingredients need to be chilled and marinated.

Try this at your next picnic or with BBQ sandwiches. We added it to a menu of hamburgers, watermelon, and cantaloupe. It made for a delicious, nostalgic meal—so much like summer cook-outs growing up!
