This month’s menu is from the Wyandotte County Gas Co.’s Your Gas Range Cook Book (1940). It’s for the days you are busy decorating, shopping, or wrapping gifts and don’t have much time to spend on meals. I’m also including a great photo from Ruth Wakefield’s Toll House Tried and True Recipes (1940). It’s a picture of a living room food spread on Christmas Day. There’s a menu of pictured items listed at the bottom. I love the color photos that show how the tables might have looked if we were to step back in time to Christmas morning 1940.
